I started “Maritime Con Artists” on Facebook back in 2012 because I wanted to connect with other artists who were selling at similar events. I’d been selling my own art for about three years at that point, and meeting new people while you’re busy selling can be tough. I created the group to have a space where we could connect, share info about event applications, exchange resources, and just have a supportive and safe community. Fast forward to 2024, and the group has grown to over 400 members on Facebook and more than 100 on our Discord channel. While we started with a focus on artists and illustrators, we now welcome anyone who creates their own art, crafts, jewelry, comics, writing, and more who are located in the Canadian Maritime provinces.
With a passion for helping others, I started Lines on Paper not just to offer a printing option for design clients but to be a reliable resource for artists needing high-quality prints. Since I put a lot of effort into ensuring my own art prints are of the best quality for events, I want to help others achieve that same high standard.
Selected artists who get their prints done through Lines on Paper will also get a special spotlight with a Q&A post on our website and a feature on our social media channels.
